Hello, Can you please check if this support article helps Using Master Password on Firefox for Android
Thank you
The master password will not be of any help. It just adds a layer of security for people who are extra careful with their passwords.
There can be several issues.
Mobile sites can exist on a different subdomain. The sites m.example.com and www.example.com are two different websites and Firefox will not share passwords between the two. There could be two different companies running the m.example.com and www.example.com thus it is not safe to share account info.
Some websites tell Firefox not to remember passwords using a flag called autocomplete="off".
Some websites use complicated script to submit the form data. These can be difficult to detect.

gnittala, I did read your suggested article (as I had also done before), but could only find this about my issue, "After you have defined a master password, you will be prompted to enter it when Firefox needs to access your stored passwords. This will "unlock" the usernames and passwords that you've saved and Firefox will automatically fill them in for you as you browse from website to website. " It does not specify if a master password actually will make firefox fill in my info's for me.
kbrosnan, thanks for explaining-- it's always nice to understand things a bit better. So, do you think there's any way i can work around these issues? It would be so nice to save having to go back to my saved passwords every time i forget what one is (which is most of the time!) (I also seem to have some passwords in my mobile password manager desktop, that somehow don't sync to my phone's pw manager-- perhaps your explanation is why...)
