when I first loader Firefox for android and made it my default browser I had a quit option. this disappeared after it crashed when opening a Google map page. I sent a report but want to know how to get that back. I try to do everything through ff so I can sign out of gmail etc which can't do using apps. thanks.

According to the support article "How do I quit Firefox for Android?," the Quit menu item was removed for Android 4.x to comply with Google's platform style guidelines. The article describes two alternatives. Do either of those work for you?

(Actually, the explanation was just removed from the article recently, but Google's guidelines are the reason based on the article as of Dec. 27, 2013.)

The first did not work for me as there is no slide switch to turn FF off on my phone, only a Force Stop which creates problems with anything synced to FF. In the info on QuitNow, it does say if you don't enable a certain setting in Developer Tools the app may disappear, but I didn't have that particular setting, only one to save tabs after quitting which I selected, so I'll see how that goes. New phone and lots of issues with it Alcatel One Touch fierce. Inexpensive, yes but ease of use, very confusing with a lot missing compared to say the LG Optimus F3 which I should have gone for for a few more $$. Thanks.
