when installed, changed my word documents to firefox documents, how do I correct this as they will not open now, please help!
In my document folder, when I downloaded and installed Mozilla Firefox, it changed my word documents to firefox documents and I cannot open them and do not know how to restore them to word documents. When I right click and try to use "open with" , word document is not an option in the program files, how do I get these documents restored? Please help!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!! I can not tell you how grateful I am for your help, I was able to recover my documents because of your assistance. I did have to make a "tweak" to the program code by changing it to Office10 instead of Office 15 on your program executable. I am totally a technically challenged person and am ever so grateful for savvy persons like yourself to rescue ones like me! Thanks Again! Kindest personal regards, SagaB :)

If you've made Firefox your default browser, it should only handle web documents like .HTML files and .URL web shortcuts. I can't say what's gone wrong. As for how to fix it...
- Click the Windows logo orb on the taskbar and choose Default Programs.
- Click Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
- Select a file type normally handled by Word (e.g. .doc or .docx).
- Click the Change Program button. If Word isn't in the list of recommended programs, you'll have to browse to the executable manually (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\WINWORD.EXE).
