Why do you consider it "good practice" to delete this information with every mail forwarded? I see that occasionally you may want to do that if the list of recipients is long or you don't want to expose sender and recipients for a specific message, but in general I'd think that's a normal part of a conversation.

Anyway, I'm not aware of a configuration option to omit the headers in the forwarded message. You could use Message > Edit As New instead, but then you'd have to remove the old recipients from the pre-filled addressees lists in the composition window. Another alternative would be to just use Reply instead, then replace the original sender with your intended recipients. There will still be a single line with the "author wrote:" attribution, which can be removed as well if that's the way you want to go (this would affect "true" replies too, though).

Please read the question, the operative word is forwarding, not replying.

Most friends who forward emails, for example, a Youtube video or newspaper article BCC it, as do I. One friend doesn't and so I get 10-20 email addresses. If I forward his emails, I wish to remove these email addresses, the good practice mentioned.

With OE one simply blocks and deletes, with TB I am left with the empty table.

If you read my response carefully, I recommended to use the reply function instead of forward to avoid the table to be produced in the first place.

Deleting the entire table works for me in 24.4.0 on Windows when placing the cursor at the end of the "Original message" line, then stepping down with the cursor while holding the Shift key pressed until all lines are marked. Hitting the Delete key will then remove the entire table.

To remove a single line, click on the table border to the left of the entry you want to delete. Two arrows and an (×) symbol appears. Click on the (×) and the line should be removed completely.

It would be pointless, and a bit annoying, to send the document or a video back to the person who sent it; why do the email programme writers include a Forward key.

You are welcome, but what you claim is not what I suggested: Another alternative would be to just use Reply instead, then replace the original sender with your intended recipients. So, following your own advise given earlier, please read responses carefully and make sure that you understand them before answering.

I have this problem too. Normal email programs make it easy to delete the original senders information easily. Is there an EASY & QUICK way to delete the senders private info

My older versions of TB didn't visibly include this long, useless table of info, so it seems like there should be a setting to hide it, but I haven't been able to find it. Quickest solution I've found is:

    #1 Left-click somewhere in table to select it.
    #2 From menu, select Format/Table/Delete/Table.

Only the "------------- original message ----------------" line will remain.

That works great for me! Now if only my old brain can remember how to do it!
