I've been on the net since probably 1995, working in the computer industry. I buy a lot of items on the web, especially Ebay. I like to save the entire listing at the time I bought the item. Why, because listings change and it's frustrating. This way I have the full page in my Documents folder. Over the years, I've been running into problems with save Web Page Complete. More times then not it Fails, no reasons, just the little download icon goes red and it failed. That's how I know...I have read other support questions, but nothing other than a screen shot is recommended...Ugh. how can one screen shot save a page that scrolls in my browser for many pages...

So Why Do complete web pages fail to save?

Why are there no Descriptive Errors?

Is there something I can do to ensure I get this feature working again, reliably that is;-)

As always, I appreciate any help given:-)

Hi Cor-el, That was an excellent suggestion about content blocking! However, it still Fails. I use Adblocker Ultimate and I turned it off for Ebay. Saving the complete page still fails...It did get me thinking though about content blocking and also my Security Settings in FF. I did some more testing and realized that "what I can see on the page (with adblocker on) Does get saved to my laptop. Basically, What You See, is What You Get" when you save the page! I can live with that:-) I despise pop-ups, embedded pop-ups and the like..., the advertising war on us poor users is beyond belief! If it wasn't for Adblocker Ultimate, I would have dumped the internet all-together. So my issue is resolved, to a point of functionality that I can accept, though it would be nice if the Download Failed was a bit more specific;-) Thank You Very Much!

Do you have content blocking extensions active as that is a possible cause for failures to save a complete website as Firefox fails to save files that blocked and notifies you ? If you have such extensions and the Troubleshooting Information list shows DuckDuckGo PE then this is to be expected.
