Incorrect Password

more options

I would like to change my password for Mozilla Firefox account. I am doing so because I have been notified of a password security breach. However, upon signing into my account via https://accounts.firefox.com/signin (it doesn't matter which device), I cannot change my password with the new one without the red-colored incorrect password window popping up. I know my signin is correct because I have just signed in using it. Whats the problem guys?

It's been 7 days since I posted this.

Did I overlook a solution already posted?

Or is Support no longer active/understaffed?

Thank you for in advance for your consideration.

Well, that shouldn't happen.

If you use the "eyeball" control at the right end of the field to view what you typed, does it match what you expected?

If you are auto-filling that field using a password manager, try making a manual change, for example, type an extra x at the end and then delete it.
