Why aren't my saved passwords auto logging-in anymore?
past week or so, every site I visit which normally logs me in automatically thru Firefox no longer logs me in. they request a log-in each visit even if I log-in and have "remember me" box clicked I, same thing happens next time.
Windows vista, pretty sure it's the newest version of FF

Details like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) are stored in a cookie.
- Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions
In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
- do not clear the Cookies
- do not clear the Site Preferences
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep.
This sounds like a problem I used to have. Certain extensions and programs can clean your browsing history automatically. Even if saved passwords aren't cleared, you will be logged out if any history is cleared.
Check your add-ons and programs (specifically programs that enhance privacy or clean junk files), and see if any of those are cleaning your history. Also make sure that Firefox isn't clearing history on exit. If that doesn't work, check to see if any cookies are being blocked.
