This is screen shot from firefox v1.5.0.12 . Writing from it now, until that is i get an old skin to use with firefox v3.6.
Someone know a way how to do it or a direct url to the skin.
Sorry about link here it is again with the quotes.
The 1.5 theme won't work in Firefox 3.6. Most of the ID's for the toolbar area have changed since 1.5, some of those ID's have changed more than once. You would have to rebuild that theme entirely to get it to work.
You can ask about what is involved in doing that here. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=18
Maybe i could do this by hand, copying FF 1.5 to FF 3.6 original.jar icons.png. As you say it probably wouldn't work, shame isn't a use original skin like that of 1.5. Easy to have a extra tiny jar for that.
Had a cruise with firefox 3.6 and you know when something is good. Firefox 3.6 is bloody awful.
Besides its bugs downloader defaults to winrar won't remember location, clearing history (option always ghosted). Even close FF and reopen and look in show all history and visited sites all still there. Flexible space doesn't work where it hsould work. I could go on but who wants these bugs fixed in another working future firefox. To me i will use another FF one i have used and trusted for years. When the is over i will go look somewhere else that isn't FF or IE etc. Firefox probably has lost many users with simple mistakes, and bugs.
Yes i have the correct settings set, doesn't take an einstein to work them out.
I didn't try out the installer over old version, as installed 3.6 on fresh xp sp3 os. But given the bugs above and lack of thinking for those people that would use FF. I doubt it has been fixed, i would expect it still to mess about with cookies, bookmarks settings etc.
