Whenever I try to send a message it comes up with the following error message;

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) xxxxx failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing Outgoing server (SMTP) connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

How can I fix this?

Hi Madara1.

Thank you for reaching us. Have you set up Thunderbird recently and it does not work from the very beginning, or were you able to send messages before? What is your mailbox provider (the part of e-mail address after @)?
