The junk filter works GREAT! However, somehow some emails are being directed to the Known Spam box. These are not spam. The senders are in my address book. How else do I identify these senders as NOT spam

You have a folder called "Known Spam"?

Thunderbird did not create or populate this folder. I suggest you investigate what anti-spam measures are being applied either by your own security software, or by your ISP or email provider.
