Now, it constantly, randomly keeps doing nothing for a few seconds when I click the mouse or press the arrow keys, and videos lag, and it does this thing where it unloads tabs I'm not looking at for some reason, and I have to wait for it to reload the page when I go back to them. How do I turn that off and make pages stay loaded? When I look at Firefox in Task Manager, it's 2 or 3 processes instead of 1, and combined, they now use more CPU power than before. It's definitely Firefox because this didn't happen until I updated it. I don't remember which version I had before, but it was 1 of the 50s, so it wasn't that far behind. This current version needs to be fixed so it doesn't lag so much and eat up so much CPU. It should go back to the way it was.

Hi, It shows here you are running version 53, current version is 56 which is now able to use multiple cores of your cpu at the same time. This explains multiple instances in Task Manager if using version 54, 55 or 56 unless they are using insane amounts of ram is nothing to worry about.

I would suggest that these issues on Windows 7 is a lack of support from MS, as many people are having issues with newer Firefox's. Older systems also. Suggestion is to move to the Extended Release Version https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/

Old Way it was is not happening, Firefox Quantum ver 57 Nov 14th Release kills all Legacy Extensions https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2017/09/26/firefox-quantum-beta-developer-edition/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
