We keep getting several error messages when we try to use Thunderbird. It worked for months then all of a sudden we’ve had a ton of issues. The errors are:

The message could not be sent because the connection to outgoing server (SMTP) src7.supercp.com timed out. Try again.

An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server sent an incorrect greeting. Too many concurrent SMTP connections. Please try again later.

This happens every time the program is opened.

What are your settings for the outgoing server? You should have secure authentication, i.e. SSL/TLS connection security on port 465, authentication = normal password, User name = email address. If you're using non-secure authentication, that could explain the 'too many connections' error.

Timeouts are often caused by security programs scanning outgoing mail, but in this case changing to secure auth. might also fix that issue.
