I tried going on to vocaroo.com to record something and it isn't picking up my mic.

For some detail, the mic is built in to my webcam. My webcam is recognized but not the audio. As in, the video works, but there's no audio.

I have checked the sounds/hardware devices and it's not that. Everything is how it should be in terms of volume levels and default devices.

I've also updated the drivers, and they're up to date, but it still won't work.

The audio is detected on the webcam software but not on Firefox. :/ It's like this on all sites.

Please help!

Edit: Also, disabling/enabling hardware acceleration didn't do anything.

Go to the web page. Once the page is loading, mouse to the address bar and Left click the icon. A window for displaying site information should come up. Select More Information. Now select Permissions. In the menu look for the mic and turn it on. Check the other settings also.

If this is done via the Flash plugin as I get the Flash object asking for permission?

You can check the settings panel in Windows Control Panel.

  • Windows Control Panel > Flash Player

Sorry, neither of those worked for me. I uninstalled and reinstalled my webcam and it still didn't change anything. I even reset Mozilla but that didn't help, either.

Please reply asap! :(

EDIT: Okay, I think I found the problem. When I was recording a video, after I saved it, my computer crashed. The drivers apparently aren't installed correctly.

EDIT #2: Well, now my computer doesn't crash when recording with the software, but mozilla still won't detect the sound.
