I get no download or save option in the drop down menu when I right click on an email attachment. If I left click, the mail window closes and sends the message to old mail.

What kind of attachment is it? Is it a image or .doc file, .pdf file? I'm gonna try to open a AOL Webmail account and send myself a message with a attachment to see if I can reproduce your problem. But I'm gonna need the exact details like what kind of file you tried to open.

One was a power point and the other was in wmv format. Aol did redesign the format of their webmail page. The problem seems to be that I no longer get a drop down menu when I right click on the attachments. The left click has always closed the message and sent it to old mail without downloading. Unique to firefox but tolerable as long as the right click options were available for attachments.
