I am trying to install Firefox onto a new computer but all of the download links keep giving me a text file only. I am not able to get the "run" option to download the file. My options are to "Open" or "Save As". Either option ends up opening up a text file in notepad.

Download directly from https://firefox.com

It seems to be an issue with Microsoft Edge or my computer as I just tried downloading a different app and have the same problem.

Where did you initially download Firefox or is this the first time you are trying to download v57? If you already have an existing installation of Firefox, you can go to the 3-bar menu -> (?) -> About Firefox to manually check for an update.

What happens if you click `Save as`? Can you rename the file to FirefoxInstaller.exe then try to open it then? This sounds like odd behavior.

Ok, download with Internet Explorer 11, and it should work then. Mark as solution if this fixed your problem!

Use this one for the full Installer, it also can just do updates. https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Do not run the file, save it.

That's true. Seamonkey works well if can get it https://www.seamonkey-project.org/ used to be part of Mozilla.
