Firefox Reinstalled, can i get my information back?

I was installing an add-on, cant remember specific name, and it asked to restart. After i restarted, my firefox was as if i just installed it. I lost al my bookmarks, favorites, saved passwords, history, everything!! Is there any way to get all that info back? Why did that happen? I cant even go back to see what add-on it was because all my history is gone.

I lost all my bookmarks, favorites, saved passwords, history, everything!!

Seems like you created a new profile and will have to find and start with your old profile.

Let's see if you can find your original profile:

  1. type about:support into the location bar (same as help > troubleshooting information...)
  2. click on open containing folder, which will bring up your current profile
  3. check your bookmarkbackups folder to see dates of .json backups of bookmarks

Go up one level to the profiles directory and check the bookmarkbackups folder in each profile to see if you find where you were before you had the problem.

If you find a profile you want then you want to bring up that profile with the Profile Manager. You will need to exit Firefox and make sure Firefox is down
