Hi there

Can not install google translate on my toolbar. When clicking the "puzzle" to access extensions google translate is there but it's greyed out, thus not accessible, when clicking on it there are no options to pin to toolbar as other extensions have that option, clicking on options if shows "manage extension" " remove extension" and " report extension"

The "To Google Translate" extension does not have a toolbar button, there is no browser_action in the manifest. The description indicates it only provides a context menu:

This extension creates a context menu item in Firefox.

The last version 4.2.0 was released in 2021 so it has not changed recently.

Not all extensions have a toolbar button, try right-clicking on some text and using the extension that way.

that's not the case, Google translate use to be on my toolbar, unfortunately had to reinstall windows and firefox and reinstall all the extensions, the majority of the extensions work and were added to the toolbar, but the google translate doesn't give that option.

If I right click on any site text it gives me no option to translate as I removed google translate, however prior to removing it and also disabling the firefox translator I had the option to translate BUT ONLY using firefox translator, this translator doesn't have the languages I usually use, very limited languages options.

There are quite a few extensions that have "Google Translate" in their title, make sure you installed the right one.

installed the one from google that I am familiar with. RE-installed it back and still the same problem, however right clicking on the text to translate does give the option to translate but still not easy to just translate one line as it takes quite some actions just to translate one line, why firefox doesn't allow it on the toolbar

What's the exact name of the extension and the author?

Extension name is To Google Translate the Author is Juan Escobar, the Version is 4.2.0 last updated December 20 , 2023 the source code is Source code: https://github.com/itsecurityco/to-google-translate

please see screen shot, this is the same author I used before and always worked and recommended by firefox

BTW ... I did install another version of google translate (Google translate all languages) by different author and still the same problem not showing on toolbar, it shows light grey and no option to add to toolbar, a couple more and still the same issue, do you think that uninstalling Firefox and re-install would solve the problem, I did that before and the problem persist, does the Firefox translator blocks any other translator, I can't figure out and do appreciate your assistance, thanks for taking the time

forgot to say that I do have google translate installed on my laptop and the author is Google LLC could it be causing interference, do you know if the Google LLC can be installed as an extension on firefox
