Should be in Bookmarks Toolbar items (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks, in the Library window, click on Bookmarks Toolbar and look for the blue folder/magnifier folders).

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
