Tools/Delete Mail in Junk Folder occasionally unavailable; may be related to need for Compaction

Occasionally, while in my Junk Mail folder, I note that the Tools/Delete Mail in Junk Folder option is grayed out. Going to other folders then back to Junk doesn't fix this. What does fix it is closing/restarting Thunderbird. When I do this, the junk-mail-delete action is always followed by an alert that a Compact is required.

This is just a very minor annoyance. But I thought you should know.
