How to find media extension videos in the cache
A lot of websites use media extensions to stream videos these days. However I can't find these files in the cache. How come when I completely downloaded a video so I can replay it without downloading (I can even turn off network) I can't get it out of Firefox? All the extensions seem to need some additional download or program too. How come if it's already downloaded? I'm on Fedora GNU+Linux. Thanks!

What streaming site are you referring to?
Any site that uses media extensions. YouTube is an example, however there are maybe extensions that work well for YouTube but not for other websites. I want a general solution and since the file is already completely cached I think there should be a way to copy this cached file.
It's probably site DRM related that you will not see it. If you want to offline watch a youtube video you need to get a 3rd party software to either download the video or stream offline for you.
No, I have DRM disabled. I hope to not use a 3rd party software, because it's possible with videos that don't use media extensions to copy them out of cache. I can also just never close the tab and I can always rewatch it. So it's already possible, I'd just like to get the video out of Firefox.
