Running windows 7 64 bit. FF Version 26.

I always backup my bookmarks on a separate flash drive. I thought the drive might be corrupted so I tried a different (HDD) drive. Same 0 json result. I started shortly after version 26 upgrade. I would downgrade to FF 25 or 24 but I cannot get a copy of the bookmarks to restore in the FF downgrade. All the stored bookmarks are 0 json. Never had this problem before.

I think I will wait for the 0 kb json/no saved bookmark files bug to be fixed. I think it should be one of Mozilla's top priorities.

j, thanks for staying with the problems - much appreciated !

Hi Steve, if you don't see any progress in the bug, you might contact Marco and see whether he can analyze your places.sqlite file. He might need multiple specimens to figure out the problem.

Did you try an HTML backup to see if that works?

You can do this manually or set the browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox create an HTML backup when you close Firefox.

cor-el,

I changed the autoExportHTML to true. I will let you know if it works later this weekend.

Thanks !

Steve
