bold text The addon suggested to fix this appears not to work any more. The size adjustments that I find, do not do anything to make the menu text larger. I need some current assistance, please. A search only produces responses greater than 4 years old.

Firefox normally follows your system text scaling. For example, with a large monitor, it might be 100% and with a smaller laptop panel it might be 125% or 150%. Firefox does have a preference where you can specify this separately, so let's give that a try. Here's how:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste devp and pause while the list is filtered

Windows users:

(3) Double-click layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and change its value to 1.5 then press Return or click the blue button to change the change. Note: the default value is -1.0 but do not use the - on your values.

The text should enlarge by 150% compared with the base value. Your base value might be 100% - 125% depending on your Windows settings, but either way, it should be noticeable.

Too big, try 1.25. Too small, try 1.75 or 2.0.

Please be careful not to select too low a value to avoid everything becoming tiny. If that happens, hold down the Ctrl key and tap the + key several times until you can see the Reset button (arching left-pointing arrow at the right end of the bar) and click that to return to normal. Then hold down the Ctrl key and tap 0 (that's zero) to reset the zoom and you can start again.

Mac users:

Retina (double-resolution) displays need all these numbered doubled: your base value is 2.0, so you won't notice a difference until you dial in a higher number.

Can you get it to a size you like?
