Thunderbird - New install
Am trying to install Thunderbird, for the first time. Cant get it to do anything. Tell me my settings are incorrect.. Am using ATT.net for email. Web mail works fine. OUTLOOK that came with WIN10, has got so it no longer will receive emails reliably. Loads very few anymore. Was looking to try something different... .. Settings I have found on the ATT mail account that is suppose to work - doesnt.... What I have used: . Mail settings pop3 inbound port SSL outbound out port inbound.att.net 995 yes outbound.att.net 465 IMAP imap.mail.att.net 993 yes smtp.mail.att.net 465 or 587 .... some OLD settings I also found and tried....
in: imap.mail.att.net pop.att.yahoo.com port 995 out: smtp.mail.att.net smtp.att.yahoo.com 465
. I have used everyone of these, and Thunderbird just tells me a setting/user name/password isnt correct... Well, user and PW is correct, as it IS what I am using to log onto the web mail... . Have also tried the IMPORT selection.
Outlook.. but says there is NO association to am email app. But, best i can tell, settings shows MAIL under the DEFAULT.. dont actually say OUTLOOK, but is what came with WIN10, and I have been using.. till it kinda quit a few months ago.

Create a secure mail key and use it in TB instead of the account password, when asked for a password:
