I have a gmail in google apps for work which I use Thunderbird in order to have access through multiple desktops. My problem is that i use Thunderbird Tags also and Thunderbird synchronizing this tags across all desktops through IMAP. I do not like that as I want to have different tags in the same e mail on different desktops. How can I keep Thunderbird synchronizing e mails but stop Thunderbird by synchronizing Tags. Note: I am speaking for Thunderbird Tags and not Gmail Labels. Thanks in advance for the support.

Where the server supports tags, they are synchronized, that is a feature of the IMAP protocol. I do not think there is an option to "turn it off"
