trying to add google accounts; pop-up window asking me to sign into google doesn't respond AT ALL. :( Help!
I've been trying to add Google accounts to my Thunderbird all day. I have -made sure Google is allowing IMAP -removed 2-factor authentication -doublechecked all usernames and passwords -allowed Thunderbird to use cookies -allowed Google to use cookies -uninstalled then reinstalled Chrome; made Chrome my default browser -uninstalled then reinstalled Thunderbird -tried a brand-new profile -- still no dice.
The current problem: it gets to the pop-up window in which Google asks me to sign in to allow Thunderbird to do its thing. Yet nothing on that screen seems to do anything. When I try to log in, the button glows for a second -- looks like its gonna do something -- but no. Also no response when I click on the link for more information.
I'm no software engineer or anything, but I'm not some hapless technological newbie either. Please help!

Wait for the update to Thunderbird 52.1.0 next week.
How do I unclick that "Mark Problem as Solved" button?! Not solved. Just an oversensitive trackpad. :( Very glad to know I'm not the only one with the problem. Thanks, christ1, for the advice; I'll update then.
Someone else posted that they already downloaded version 52.1 and it fixed this issue. You might look for that upgrade.
