How can I stop firefox from highlighting text on every site that leads to an ad?
Every time I use the web, certain words in the text will be highlighted and if you click on them, they lead to an ad. How do I block this?

How do you start in safemode?
hi, that's also explained in the help article i've linked to: you can either go to the firefox menu > help > restart with addons disabled or press the shift key while launching firefox in order to get into safe mode.
