Hello,

This morning, I have accidentally close all my tabs (60+ tabs, which were open for more than 5+ years), while I wanted to reopen a recently closed tab. I suppose that this mistake was due to the sensitivity of the touch screen, since both option are next to each other in the menu.

I see multiple problems here: - There was no dialog asking me if I wanted to close all my tabs. While on Desktop this dialog exists. So for a long time I had no clue what just happened. - As I remember, Firefox did not gave me the opportunity to undo my action.

Now, the question is: How can I reopen all my closed tabs ? The menu "Recently closed tabs" have only 10 items, and those do not belong to the 60+ tabs that have been closed.

Is there a way to reopen all the tabs that I accidentally closed (I do not use Firefox Sync) ?

Thanks in advance

Hi

I am sorry, but it will not be possible to reopen those closed tabs, but you may find records of them in the History option in the Firefox for Android menu.

Hello @Paul,

Thank you for your answer and sorry for my late reply.

I am very sorry to ear that there is no way to reopen the closed tabs, which have been closed accidentally. And I really think that this should be a feature to be implemented. Or at least, there should be a dialog prompting if we really want to close so many tabs at once.

I also think that the "Close all tabs" menu entry should not be so close to the "Recently closed tabs" menu entry. Or even appear in this menu, it should be its own separate thing.

As I mentioned, in my case, I think I wrongly selected the "Close all tabs" menu entry due to touch screen sensitivity. My problem is that, according to my usage of Firefox on Android, I would never ever wanted to launch this menu entry. And by looking to a quick Google query on that topic, it seems that I am not the only one.

So as I mentioned in my previous message, I think there are 2 issues that need to be fixed for this "use-case":

  • There should be be dialog asking me if I wanted to close all my tabs. Since on Desktop this dialog exists.
  • There should be a way to undo this action. Trying to reopen 60+ tabs from browsing history only is nor a conceivable nor a practical solution (I tried).
