New versions of firefox constantly crash
For the past 2 days firefox has continuously crashed on me, usually when it is just sitting idle or when I try to close it down.
I had updated to the newest build on the 8th, and then again yesterday to build 26. Today I restored my computer to an old date to get rid of the update, but firefox is still crashing. I have ran malwarebytes and showed nothing.
Here is the crash reports. bp-52921dfe-f043-4784-94fd-6942a213121312/13/20135:33 PM bp-76d20b35-e558-4246-b4eb-55677213121312/13/20135:33 PM bp-77644db3-1fc0-4331-bb24-b5b3d213121312/13/201312:55 PM bp-f44e96b2-2613-4011-8d13-61eab213121312/13/201312:07 PM bp-e39e29d5-7d92-490b-a5c1-24c79213121312/13/201310:12 AM bp-503be6df-1715-4373-bc0d-e7030213121312/13/201310:11 AM bp-3f4125b3-13db-4538-95ac-a5e68213121312/13/201310:00 AM 549930a1-cbf9-46d8-b6ac-88f9f3f3eab612/13/201312:39 AM bp-fc86a9a4-98b2-45f0-af22-399d9213121312/12/201311:05 PM bp-1acab0ed-23a8-4417-a74e-77985213121312/12/20139:48 PM bp-e2522af2-2fa1-489f-a241-49357213121312/12/20137:26 PM

Thank you for posting the crash reports. I'm not getting a clear indication of the problem, but the majority of them seem to be related to JavaScript "garbage collection." Could you try running Firefox in its Safe Mode for several hours to see whether it is stable? This turns off some of the recently introduced and presumably less fully debugged JavaScript-related technologies.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled (Flash will still work)
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)
Any difference? (More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.)
Please update to the current Firefox 26 release.

The Firefox 20 version that you currently run is no longer supported with security updates.
- It is important to update Firefox and add-ons to the latest version to get all security fixes.
Are there any media players used in the current tab or other tabs?
You can also check for issues caused by plugins (plugins are not affected by Safe Mode).
Hi I have tried safe mode several times and found no difference. It is still crashing. I am at wits end here, and about ready to revert back to chrome, which I hate.
The problem started when I updated to the new version, so I rolled back my computer to get rid of the update.
Did you try a new profile?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps in case other software on your computer is causing this problem.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
