Firefox 3.6.10 update 10.1mb using help>update in Firefox
I had this issue with the 3.6.10 update. I went to help>update and it started to download and there was a server issue so it stopped. I restarted the update download and it said 10.1 mb, it downloaded and completed. Usually when updating via help>update in Firefox the incremental updates are around 1.7mb.
Thinking maybe I downloaded a uncompessed installer I downloaded the Firefox 3.6.10 installer from the Firefox site(8mb) and extracted it, it's 28mb. Interesting.

The Mozilla update server only makes one attempt at installing the actual update. Subsequent attempts result in the entire new version in its' umcompressed format being downloaded and installed.
