Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.

Thnks thnks alot............... :)
Nobody must tell me to reset my Firefox browser in order for the Google translator function to work. ( I am talking about the Select Language key).
It is Firefox's problem to sort that out so that is a default fixture with them, as it is with all the other browsers.
Fact of the matter is that if somebody in another language visits my site using Firefox, that "Select Language" key is supposed to work.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, visit http://wilburgh.com, and you will see what I mean.

No problem here with "Select Language" on wilburgh.com
You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
I want to make a 100% percent certain that we are talking about the same thing.
On my site by Google translation, if I go just below "Select Language" and press there (incidentally it is on the word "Google"), I get to a translation spreadsheet, but that is not the same as the dropdown one gets by pressing on "Select Language".
Which one are you referring to?
Seeing that I got no reply to my question to you, I assume you were talking about the wrong translation function.
Whatever the case, it is totally unacceptable that Firefox could just think of telling one to reset the Firefox browser to be able to get to the "Select Language" function on their browser.
Where with Bing, Google, Google Chrome and Safari browsers that function is instantaneously available.
What's more, there are other strings also in the question and answer sections of Firefox where there were also complaints about this, not only this string.
If there are so many complaints, chances are good that a person with another language will also not be able to get to the translation function, and how will he understand what to do to get to it if he/she can't even understand this question/answer column.
It is time that Firefox makes changes to their program to correct this.
Just go to the following website and you'll see how many complaints there are:
http://www.google.co.za/#sclient=psy-ab&q=google+translator+not+working+firefox&oq=Firefox+translator+not+working&gs_l=hp.1.0.0i22i30.3068.18926.0.25987.30.28.0.2.2.2.1122.14879.3-4j15j4j4j1.28.0....0...1c.1.21.psy-ab.YmwOJEz5pts&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.49478099,d.d2k&fp=fe6577ce38b92af7&biw=1366&bih=643
That other Google Translate button links to the regular "translate.google.com" website and that site works differently.
Note that you need to have Flash enabled and working properly to make the Selection drop-down list work.
If Flash is disabled then it doesn't work.
You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
- disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
- disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
1. My flash player 11 active X is installed and enabled.
2. I do not have a Real Player installed.
3. I am on windows 7 Ultimate and do not have a protected mode in
the Flash Plugin.
4. I cannot disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin ( see no. 3).
5. Your link (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash#Troubleshooting) is not
operational.
6. Cor-el, you are trying to direct me away from the principal issue,
i.e., the problem lies with your browser and not with the users of your browser. Turn your finger around and you will see that it points at yourself.
7. I have just tried once more the following browsers:
Google Google Chrome Safari Bing And the result is the same >>the translator function works on all of them, even with the flash plugin disabled, but on the Firefox browser the translator function is not working even with the flash plugin enabled.
8. I repeat what I said in a previous reply...it is time that Firefox makes
changes to their program to correct this.
