Cannot Access Yahoo Mail with FireFox 4.0.1 "The connection was reset" error message"
When I try to access my Yahoo Mail it asks me to sign in and when I provide my password it take me to a page that says "The connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." and it will not allow me to access my mail. I am also experiencing problems with viewing pgd files from web pages. I have tried to start in Safe Mode with all Ad-On's disabled, but the same thing happens. HELP....I do not like IE but it is the only browser I can use right now.

Try to delete your cookies and cache to see if that helps:

Thanks for the advice, but I still have the same problem. This did not fix it.

Thanks but I still have the problem. I have no problem using IE to access Yahoo mail, but it just does not work with FireFox. At work I have a T1 line so I know the internet is not the problem. I do not have any problem with FireFox at home on my personal computer. This was a not a problem 1.5 weeks ago.
The only thing I can suggest now is try to disable your "Yahoo Application State Plugin" to see if that helps.
If not, other Yahoo Mail uses will have to jump in and help. Sorry.
Ditto to everything usdiver said. My Yahoo Mail works fine through IE, but does not work on Firefox, and it started happening after the update. I use the same laptop at work and at home and the problem exists in both places. The only constant here is Firefox.
