Every every day I get a few crashes with Firefox. The scenario is always the same. Attached screenshot. I keep switching Shockwave Flash v11.2.202.451 and the Cisco OpenH264 codec to “never activate” but on restart from the crash they are found to have reactivated. I tried safe mode, and refreshed, with no improvement. I think it is related to video uplaying, youtube etc, but can't pin it down. My OS is Ubuntu 14.04, Firefox 36.0.1 for Ubuntu.

Jon: Did you not read my post in which I clearly stated half way down that I refreshed?

Make sure that you update the Flash plugin, it looks pretty out of date. That could well be the problem, since youtube uses flash a lot.

As for it being out of date, I am sure that while there is a version 16 for Windows, the last version that works for FF on Linux is mine. Funnily enough i haven't had a single crash today, maybe due to todays Ubuntu update.

Ok. Also make sure that hardware acceleration is enabled. Menu>Preferences>Advaced>General>Use hardware acceleration when available.

I'm glad its working for you, make sure and reply back if it crashes.
