I went on to youtube and the page is not displaying properly. It is just a list on the left of what is found on the page. I tried deactivating ABP but that has done nothing. I check this out on microsoft edge and the same display happened. I do not know why this occurred, and what I can do about it. I made sure everything was up to date, and did a norton full system scan which did nothing. Other websites are working fine, except any that have utube videos are not being shown.

Hey there Whitma

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu, choose History, and then "Clear Recent History...".
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the "Clear Now" button.

Further information can be found in the Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox article.

Another issue could be a plugin or addon causing issues with youtube. An idea could be to disable each one in turn and go to youtube and see if it solves the issue. If this is the case then its a matter of waiting for an update unfortunately.

I hoped this helps. Please report back to us!

Thanks Brad

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
