I've set my homepage, but when I open Firefox Brigthbrowse opens. I've tried to remove or disable, the buttons press but nothing happens. How can I get rid of this garbage?

Brightbrowse is in your Addons list. Try to remove it from there. If you can't, go into your Control Panel and try to remove it from there as well.

it looks like user.js is currently active in Firefox. The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.

You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release. You can get to the profile folder below:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory > Show Folder

or

  • Go to about:support and click Show Folder next to Profile Directory.

I've tried many times to remove Brightbrowse from Mozilla's add-on list but nothing happens when I click on disable or remove. Brightbrowse appears no where in my Control Panel. Home page is correctly set, but opening Firefox still opens to Brightbrowse. How can I get rid of this crap?
