Tried a few times to donate to Davide for an app. The paypal part never works right for him in addons donate page, is it going to get fixed? How much $ lost?

Details; I like a text to speech app Davide wrote. Once I saw that I would make use of it, I wanted to donate. Could not, the (unfamiliar) paypal log in page never links to logged in. This was months ago, tried again. Same thing. I am glad I am not him. How many people wanted to contribute but could not?

I am learning programming, this scares me away from making apps for firefox. After reading Donate' issues, it seems to be a serious issue. Will it get fixed? Is any developer getting every (desired to donate) dollar?
Maybe to make things simple, we could just get email addys for every possible donate button. Even for firefox itself, then we can paypal direct. If I could figure that out, why hasn't anyone else?
Poor Davide has lost funds for months.
Maybe half? Maybe 75%? Who knows how many had this issue and just did not try again or pursue any further contact. I looked, could not even find a way to contact him from the addon (developer name) link.
Anyway, I wish I could have donated, still have found no way and will have to bill firefox for my time, if I spend anymore of it on this same issue.
I know, it says "ask....community of users" This is more a concern, a comment, a request (for their sake) that this very annoying (and simple problem) gets fixed. Like wow. Really. What if a million users are using that very app, and can not donate 2 or 3 dollars? Do the math. How would any of you feel having that size a loss?
And since this is "community of users." have any of you not given 5 dollars for the browser you use? Maybe firefox could be a bit more organized with such small (but important) issues if they were funded better. Just saying.
