no, I use my desktop. did you see the truenas screen snapshot? when there's an arrow or chevron etc in a menu I see the word "arrow"and "chevron" not the actual image of an arrow or chevron. In huge letters that can cover other parts of the GUI. It does it on google fiber's router setup too It may have something to do having to increase the font size to help me see it better. The sad part is I use a 4k 75in Samsung TV for a monitor (hehehe). with control panel set to 300+ % for the screen thank you for helping, keith

This can happen when an iconic font doesn't load (alternate text is displayed). Some common reasons for iconic fonts not to load would be:

(A) Settings Firefox to ignore page fonts and always use one set of fonts assigned on the Settings page -- steps to check this below (B) Some add-ons block remote fonts either for performance or privacy reasons (for example, uBlock Origin) (C) For fonts loaded from Google, forcing Google sites into a different Container (if you use Container tabs)

To check on (A):

On the Settings page, General panel, Fonts section, "Advanced..." button, make sure the box is checked to let pages specify fonts and sizes:

Thanks for help with my display problem. (A) check (uBlock Origin) click off button then refresh and bingo google's icons are back. I'll fire up my Truenas project again to be sure, but you got huge thank you coming. Thank you. -Keith
