Full screen video doesn't take up the entire screen on MacOS 12.5 unless Firefox is in full screen mode

more options

When expanding any video to full screen mode, the video does not occupy the entire screen. However, if Firefox itself is in full screen mode, then the video will occupy the full screen.

I tested this on YouTube and another website's video player and was able to consistently replicate the issue.

被選擇的解決方法

Found a fix from someone on Reddit.

Go to about:config and change "full-screen-api.macos-native-full-screen" to True.

Works perfectly.

Looks that Firefox adds a rounded border to make the player look nicer when you maximize the window and do not actually use full screen mode on Mac.
