How do I get the pop-up exceptions to work?

more options

I am trying to access my order status on www.solutions.com and when I click on order status, the yellow pop-up box briefly appears at the top of the screen then disappears. No pop-up appears. I have tried adding 'www.solutions.com' and 'solutions.com' in the pop-up exceptions screen on preferences/options and neither works. I tried adding a couple of other websites in the exceptions screen and they don't work either. I am on a Mac.

Have you tried turning off the pop-up blocker completely when using that site? Then assuming the window isn't blocked, you could check to see whether the page actually is on a different domain (e.g., a shipping service or other external site).

I am using the exceptions screen for two other websites also and neither of those website's pop-ups are working. Can anyone give me the name of a couple of websites with pop-ups that you know will work with the exceptions screen so I can try on my mac? Thanks

I turned off the pop-up blocker, and the window that loaded has this address:

http://orderstatus.nortom.com/statpage.htm

So I added an exception for nortom.com and then turned the pop-up blocker back on.

Tested again. Success!

Note: I tested on Windows 7, but I don't think it makes a difference.

Note #2: This is the strangest way to pop up a new window: going to a new page then launching the pop-up, then going back. I wonder why they did it that way?
