There are more than a dozen versions of Firefox 24; which one is best/compatible with Norton/Symantec Internet Security & the Norton "safe search" tool bar?

I need to go from Firefox 16.0.1 to the CORRECT VERSION, as explained above, of Firefox 24.

Put another way: how to I "upgrade" Firefox 16.0.1 to the "Norton compatible" version of Firefox 24?

Firefox 24 is the "newest" version which is compatible with Norton Internet Security -- every version of Firefox beyond 24 -- currently -- is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH "NORTON."

Thus, uploading newest Firefox version 29 (or older 25 through 28) will ERASE Norton Internet Security/Norton "safe search" tool bar.

Must "upgrade" to Firefox version 24...but which "sub-version" is the "Norton correct one?"

The Norton toolbar patch for Firefox 29.0 was ready the day before Firefox 29.0 was released. http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Toolbar-Norton-Identity/Firefox-29-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/td-p/1127638

This is the downside of using the Firefox 24 ESR versions as Norton no longer supports Firefox 26.0 and earlier. http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Toolbar-Norton-Identity/Attention-Firefox-3-through-26-users/td-p/706331
