I have been having crash problems with Firefox for years now, even fresh operating system and hard drive installation never fixed the problems. I've attempted to disable all plugins; no help.

Usually when the crash occurs, it's when I have multiple tabs open. If this is an issue, then wouldn't it be a good idea if Firefox gave some sort of warning rather than simply crashing because it can't handle that much? I'm able to have multiple browser tabs open in other browsers, usually with no problems at all.

As of recent, I am not able to even get Firefox to open; it crashes immediately after I click the icon. Another thing I've noticed when it is running, are long freeze delays. What it does is, when I am on a web page scrolling or typing...everything freezes for about 10 seconds...if I wait, everything becomes functionable again. Then 30 seconds or so later, the same thing... freezing starts again, then back to normal. If this was my computer lagging, then my other applications would do this, but they don't. It's only with Firefox.

That looks like a problem with SQLite or an SQLite database file.

Make sure that you have the latest SQLite version for your OS installed.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
