Thunderbird error "does not support selected authentication method" for NetZero account.
Last week, my settings for NetZero were okay, and downloading email normally. This week, it tells me "The server does not support the selected authentication method". I check in Account/Server settings, and find that the settings are exactly what they should be according to NetZero's suggested settings for Thunderbird. Is it safe to assume that if the password had changed (it didn't) that it would tell me specifically that the password was wrong?
My Thunderbird version is 100.0b1. I recall there was a place to find issues specifically related to beta versions, but I can't find it. Probably using the wrong search terms.
Server is pop.netzero.net (same as NetZero says to use, port 995 for Thunderbird) Connection security is set to SSL/TLS (Netzero says use SSL)
I'm using the Gmail SMTP, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Any idea why this would pop up over the last week?
Thanks, Bill

I'm not sure what happened here. I thought I tested all the authentication methods prior to submitting this help request. Authentication methods available are Normal, Encrypted, Kerboros / GSSAPI, NTLM, and OAth2. I went through all previously, but perhaps mis-typed my password, or accidentally did the same one twice, skipping another. Had another try today, and found that the Normal Password works. I still don't understand why it quit working on Encrypted though. In any case, this is no longer an issue for me at this point in time.

I forgot to include, this is the help page from NetZero for email setup. Maybe something obvious there I didn't see? http://help.netzero.net/nzhelp/support-home-page/service-help/email/email-setup/
