Can not log in on openstreetmap.org. Works in IE and Chrome, but not in FireFox
Go to openstreetmap.org. You need an account. If you don't have one, create one first. Log in with your account. The site will ask your user/password. After that you're back in the original screen? You are not logged in. Do the same with your account in IE or Chrome and you will be logged in. You will see this in the upper right corner of the screen and you will have access to the editing tools.

hello, please go through the steps at Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them (attention: the "Clear history for that site" section will also delete your saved username/password for openstreetmap).
Did you reload that page via F5 or Ctrl+F5?
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)
Been there, done that and it doesn't work. Did you try to log in and open a map in edit mode ?
Tried with different user/password and I get:
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
So it apparently is related to blocked cookies, but I have my cookie setting enabled and no blocked sites in the list. What else... ?
No, I haven't created an account to see if I can log in.
You check the permissions on the about:permissions page.
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
the about: did the trick. after clearing the cookies in the about page the problem disappeared. Thanks ;-)
