Hi community,

a week ago i installed avast premium security, from that day firefox does not open any webpage, stuck in loading of the web page and after 1 minute stops the effort to reach the webpage.

When disabling avast shields, firefox works again and i can access webpages.

Other internet browsers works fine.

Before installing avast premium i had the free antivirus as protection and mozzila firefox was working just fine.

I run windows 10.

Thank you.

You should contact Avast support.

It sounds like Avast installed a firewall, and does not let Firefox thru.

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
