I can't log in to PayPal and never had this problem prior to ver. 31.0

After entering userid and pw it redirects to another page with "Logging in to PayPal" and an animated spinning thing. It just stays on that page. I never get logged in. I used the PayPal site less than three weeks ago with the last version of Firefox. I can get on the site using IE, but I hate using that browser.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • The image "new fx menu" does not exist. > Options/Preferences> Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • The image "new fx menu" does not exist. > Options/Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Every time I close Firefox the cache gets cleaned out - everything except the cookies. I clean them out at the end of the day right before I shut the computer down. I keep only three and PayPal isn't one of them. The first website I went to this morning after the homepage was PayPal. No go - same problem. As stated above, I had no problem with the previous version less than three weeks ago. I just put v. 31 on around Monday or Tuesday of this week.

Just for a reference point, I used to have this same sort of problem with Firefox every time I tried to view my long distance phone bills on the MCI website. I was able to get logged in but the bills would never come up for viewing. Only the IE browser would work. That problem got fixed some number of versions back (I don't know when).
