How do I import .ics files received in Thunderbird emails into Lightning calendar events?

Greetings - I am receiving .ics calendar invitations in my Thunderbird inbox as attachments. While I can open the attachments in NotePad, convert the Date/Time information to CST from GMT, and build a manual entry in Lightning, I was hoping there's a more elegant solution.... Thanks in advance!

Chosen solution

Save the .ics attachment to disk. Then from the main menu bar: Events and Tasks (Alt-N) - Import Choose the .ics file you saved to disk before. If you do have multiple calendars you'll be prompted for the one you want to import the .ics file to.

May be not the world's most elegant way, but still better than to manually create the event in the calendar.
