I have used t.bird and F.fox for 15 years or so, there has never been any problems. Now it is erratic. a "send" email went straight to trash. Replay to one email went to "important". I am so ticked of that I downloaded Win 10, as Maybe this is the reason for all mess. Now when I am checking what has happened, two emails went straight to "Draft" not to receivers. Aarno

important i a folder maintained by Gmail. It has nothing to do with Thunderbird at all, other than Thunderbird uses the server supplied folders.

Now with this trash stuff, could you explain further. You sent a mail and it went to the recipients trash? Or you sent yourself a mail and it went to trash or what?

However if the trash is also a gmail issue this might help https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/gmail/CVEl144n1dM
