Firefox crashes after 2 ca. minutes!
Tried everything! FF crashes after two minutes. No matter what version, no matter what site i am in, no matter safe mode or not, no matter if add-ons are enabled or disabled, no matter javascript is on or off. It just shuts itself down. It is happening after updating to 44.0.2. Any idea? papcon

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Dear John 99, FF also crashes when started in FF SAFE MODE
Yes, but did you also disable all plugins including FlashPlayer and can you let us have some of the Crash IDs that it generates. Or a screenshot of any error messages.
Your other problems are sometimes Flash Hangs that should not happen with Flash Player disabled.
Please leave Firefox ten minutes before forcing it to quit. In that time it would normally generate a crash report. (If you have a light indicating disk activity and think Firefox is still working away in the background leave it even longer )
And a longshot, if you have set Firefox to clear History on close down change that back to the default of not clearing History, because at the moment automatically clearing History may cause problems on Firefox 44.
FF generates no crash IDs, no error messages. Nothing at all, It just shuts down itself. Every add on nad every plugin manually deactivated. Only in Windows Safe Mode is FF stable!!!
Have a look at your Windows event logs I will not understand those but maybe someone else will.
