I renamed a mail folder and it disappeared from the folder list. I found it in the Profiles folder, but I can't figure out how to restore it to the actual application so I can use it. It seems like it should work if it's in the Profiles, but it doesn't. Help?

re :I renamed a mail folder

Was this a folder you created or a default one? Is this a imap or pop mail account?

re: I found it in the Profiles folder Did it have the old or the new name? Did you see a file with same name but with a .msf extension? Post image showing the file in the profile.

Try This:

in Thunderbird Hrlp > Troubleshooting information clickon 'show folder' button

a new window opens showing contents of profile

close Thunderbird now - this is important

clickon 'Mail' for pop or 'ImapMail' for imap click on mail account name

If you see file (no extension) with new name, but the .msf file still shows old name: delete the old name.msf file.

Restart Thunderbird.

Thanks so much for replying! I figured it out -- it wasn't quite as complicated as I thought.
