Do I need Avast on top of Firefox or is Firefox virus protection sufficient?

more options

Avast automatically generates passwords and I can't figure out how to stop it. Then I'm getting the message "incorrect password" when I try to get back in to that site. I see a lot of the things that Avast does are duplicated in Firefox. Is having Avast or a program like it really necessary or is Firefox really all you need?

Chosen solution

There is no Firefox builtin Virus Protection or Firewall. Yes you need a A/V and a Firewall only. Go into Avast settings and turn all other stuff off, you do not need it then as you say.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
