About GcontactSync
Dear Sir I have just installed ( May 20, 2019) Thunderbird on 2 new computers (latest version of Thunderbird). One computer works under Windows 10 and the other under Windows 7. I wanted to install GContactSync to be able to retrieve all Google-Gmail addresses but to my surprise the download was impossible. A red banner appears at the top of the screen indicating that the software is not compatible with this version of Thunderbird. I don't understand.... Indeed I have 2 other computers of the same type, one under Windows 7 Pro and the other under Windows 10 Pro and I had no problem... but for the latter the registration of Thunderbird was done 3-4 weeks ago. Do you have a solution? Thank you in advance

The gContactSync add-on v. 3.0.0 claims to be compatible with TB 60.*, but the add-on installer lists the max. version compatibility as TB 60.0, instead of 60.*, (in install.rdf). This explains why it doesn't install in TB 60.7.
The simplest way to get it to install is to open Tools/Options/Advanced/General/Config. editor and double-click the preference extensions.strictCompatibility to false, OK to close Options. Then, go ahead and install the add-on. If your browser is Firefox or Chrome, drag the green Download button and drop it onto Tools/Add-ons/Extensions in TB.
Hello The version I installed on my computers is the 60.7.0 32-bit version. Do your comments remain the same in this case? Thank you.

Many thanks for all
I run TB 68.0.2 (32-bit) on Win 10 with gContactsync 3.1.7 installed.
I have set up gContactsync such that the Google addresses overwrite the TB addresses.
Lately, that is, after the latest TB updates gContactsync stopped working properly: The log does not show any errors, however new addresses on Google are not added to the TB Address book and changes on Google are not transferred to TB. Also, a summary windows used to pop up at the end of the sync process and that does not happen anymore either.
Does anyone have an idea what is going on?
Thanks!
